I believe that one of the most important things to know in regards to online safety is that the internet, although a useful and convenient tool, is public and most the time is also anonymous. Just like in real life- not everyone has good intentions or motives. We need to understand that predators can use the internet as a mask to gain trust from the unsuspecting individual. You must never give out or display personal or identifying information to anyone- no matter how nice they seem. If you are a child and someone you don’t know is attempting to contact you over the internet you should always let your parents know what is going on. Parents should restrict access to certain approved websites and monitor their child’s time online. I also think that the parent should be aware of everyone their child communicates with online. Just like anything else- too much of a good thing can prove to be disaterous. Moderation is key.

If you decide to play any online games where you talk to random people, you should ask a parent and make sure they are with you at all costs incase a stranger on the game asks for yor personal information such as first and last name, phone number, any parent cell phone number, adress, or other personal information. When you join an online game such as runescape or clubpenguin, you should see the parental safety page where you look at all the saftey tips of playing the game. This is very important because this lists the very important safety of this game for anyone who wants to play online games. So remember BE VERY CAREFULL WITH ONLINE GAMES OR ANYTHING ENVOLVING CHATING WITH COMPLETE STRANGERS!!!!!!!

One thing thats safe on the internet is to never ever give anyone your personal information. Even if they say that they are your cousin or your friend do not tell them it.

It’s important to stay safe on the internet. If you do,you and your family will stay safe. So don’t do stuff like look up any inapropriate things and if that pops up tell your parents. Also, on online games, don’t give any personal information like name or address to strangers. If you follow those tips, and ones by other studets, then you’ll stay safe. Safe surfing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its a good thing to be safe on the inertnet. If your getting bullied or getting emails from people you dont know then you should tell an adult you trust or your parents. You should always try to stay safe and if you do your family might try to do the same thing! SAFE SURFING!!!!!!

In order to stay safe on the internet I never open pop-up windows. When advertisements flash on the screen, I quickly close the window by pushing on the red X. Also, when I use search sites to research information I am very selective about which links to click on. Before opening a webpage I read the URL address to see if it sounds credible.

I think everyone should be safe online because there are some bad people out there. Also it’s important to keep your password to yourself and your address or someone could find you. Be careful and and let your parents know what you do on-line.
