(Mr. Davis, Mr. Heath, Mr. Luke- Sept. 2, 2008)
Trantwood has a group of dedicated volunteer dads who help patrol the school and help out where ever needed. These guys are positive role models in addition to the wonderful staff at Trantwood. Our students look forward the getting “high 5s” throughout the day when they spy a watch dog. Our entire Trantwood staff feels more secure knowing we have the watch dogs on the premises. Charlie Davis is the vice president of our PTA and our head Watch Dog. Please contact him about taking a turn as a watch dog dad. It is a win-win situation! :)

We love having our Watch D.O.G.S. in the building interacting with both the teachers and the students! I would love to see them in the building more often. The kids really enjoy talking to these dads.
The office staff enjoys having the Watch D.O.G.S. in the building as it helps us keep an eye on who is entering and remaining in the building. They help keep our students and staff safe and we are very grateful for their prescence.
Thank you for helping us around the building. We feel safe knowing you are here and giving you high fives is cool! We are going to talk to our dad’s about how to become a watch D.O.G.!

“Who let the D.O.G.S. out?!!” This is a great program and all benefit. The dads get to see their children, get to know how our school works, and the children get the benefit of having positive male role models! Yeah!
I want thank those who made Watch D.O.G.S a part of the phenomenal Trantwood team. I enjoy the opportunity to help within the school. It’s more than just extra “security”. The fact that we get to interact with the students and faculty is a major part of MY day. Knowing that I can make people feel just a little bit more secure during the day is great. I look forward to being able to come in and do my part. Aside from the fact that the Navy gives me the whole day to spend here and not in MY office. Getting to know all the kids and knowing that they look forward to seeing us is a wonderful feeling. They will go out of their way to get and give a “high 5″ or “knuckles”.
It’s a fabulous opportunity to spend time with your kids and all you military dads out there, it looks great on your evals and fitreps. There is a lot of open space on the calendar by the cafeteria. Let’s start to fill it up. WOOF!
